About Me.
My name is MaveriQ Jackson, and I am preparing to throw my hat in the ring to run for the Colorado State House. While I have not officially filed yet, I believe it’s important to start sharing my vision and listening to the voices of our community.
I was raised to believe that when times are tough, we come together, we listen to each other, and we build solutions that lift everyone up. Our district is full of hardworking families, seniors, and young people who deserve to be heard and supported—not left behind by politics as usual.
My commitment is simple: to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with my neighbors, to be accessible, and to focus on real solutions for the challenges we face. I’m not running to make a name for myself—I’m preparing to run so that we can build a stronger, fairer, and more resilient Colorado together.
Affordable Housing & Homelessness
-
Issue: Families, seniors, and young people are struggling to afford a home in our district.
-
Fix: Partner with local governments and nonprofits to expand affordable housing, invest in transitional housing, and strengthen mental health and addiction services that prevent homelessness.
Jobs & Economic Opportunity
-
Issue: Many residents face low wages or lack access to meaningful work.
-
Fix: Attract emerging industries to Colorado, expand apprenticeship programs, and support small businesses through tax relief and start-up grants.
Healthcare & Mental Health Access
-
Issue: Too many families can’t afford quality care, and mental health support is stretched thin.
-
Fix: Expand access to clinics, increase funding for rural and neighborhood providers, and integrate mental health into primary care.
Transportation & Infrastructure
-
Issue: Outdated infrastructure makes commuting harder and hurts local business growth.
-
Fix: Invest in safer roads, public transit expansion, and green infrastructure to support both mobility and sustainability.
Education & Career Readiness
-
Issue: Students often graduate unprepared for today’s jobs.
-
Fix: Invest in career-based education, apprenticeships, and technology in schools so students are ready to thrive locally.

US-RAPA
As part of my platform, I am running with the United States Rapid Action & Preparedness Act (US-RAPA)—a framework to protect our democracy, strengthen national security, and give citizens a direct role in holding leaders accountable. While I’m bringing this bill forward in my campaign, I’m also committed to working with current representatives and state leaders to advance it toward the federal level.
(United States Rapid Action & Preparedness Act)
The United States Rapid Action & Preparedness Act (US-RAPA) is a new framework I’ve authored to keep America safe, stable, and democratic in the face of crises. Whether it’s a natural disaster, political corruption, or threats to our freedoms, US-RAPA makes sure we can respond quickly—without giving unchecked power to any one person or group.
What US-RAPA Does:
-
Protects Democracy: Prevents abuse of power by leaders, institutions, or extremists.
-
Strengthens Security: Ensures the nation can respond swiftly and lawfully to emergencies.
-
Gives People Power: For the first time, everyday Americans can petition to activate safeguards and even remove corrupt officials.
-
Checks & Balances: Creates a balanced National Council of leaders and civilians to oversee crises and prevent overreach.
-
Election Stability: Allows early voting of “confidence/no confidence” if a candidate or official faces credible evidence of misconduct.
-
Judicial Accountability: Provides a constitutional pathway for the people to remove a Supreme Court Justice through petition and referendum.
-
State Partnership: Begins right here in Colorado as the pilot state, with the first secure US-RAPA digital portal built for citizens.
Why It Matters:
US-RAPA ensures that when our democracy is tested—by corruption, dictatorship threats, disinformation, or even disasters—we don’t have to rely on broken systems or wait until it’s too late. It gives both government and the people tools to act swiftly, transparently, and constitutionally to keep America safe.
